MRS. WORLD PAGEANT Arrival in Vietnam DAY 1

The 2009 MRS. WORLD PAGEANT Delegates arrived at the Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Ch Minh City, Vietnam for the 2009 MRS. WORLD PAGEANT, and were greeted by local resident-fans and well-wishers.
Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, was renamed H? Ch Minh City by the unified communist Socialist Republic of Vietnam after the Vietnam War on May 1, 1975. Ho Chi Minh City, along with its joint provinces, has the largest population in Vietnam of over 9 million residents, and is known as the Capital of Motorbikes . The city has a tropical climate, specifically a tropical wet and dry climate, with an average humidity of 75%. The rainy season, with an average rainfall of about 71 inches annually, approximately 150 rainy days per year, usually begins in May and ends in late November.
The 2009 MRS. WORLD PAGEANT Delegates were transported by bus from Ho Chi Minh City to The Imperial Hotel in B Ria-Vung Tau Vietnam. Ba Ria-Vung Tau is an east province of Vietnam, and is an important tourist destination, being particularly well known for its beaches, for its French colonial-era architecture, influenced by the French during their colonial occupation of Vietnam in 1859.
The 2009 MRS. WORLD PAGEANT was broadcast LIVE on November 22, 2009 from the Ba Ria-Vung Tau SPORTS CENTER.
